,, e-Support services for career and vocational counseling of youth entering the labor market ” RORS 406, e-SSCVC. This project has an implementation period of 12 months, from April 2021 to April 2022 and is part of the category of cross-border cooperation projects Interreg-IPA Cross-border Cooperation Program Romania-Serbia.

The project targets two target groups: the first, consisting of high school students, aged between 16 and 19 years old, the second consisting of high school teachers who will be prepared to act as career counselors through a postgraduate program.

The project focuses on creating an interactive online platform for vocational and professional counseling, as a structure for cross-border cooperation and support for informed access to the labor market. A counseling guide for high school teachers (who will act as career counselors) as an additional tool to support career counseling activities in the classroom or online.

The online platform will represent the space for mentoring and counseling students, but also a peer learning community, so that the students of the West University of Timisoara, (especially master students, within the master of Counseling and educational integration) by volunteer activities, to share with high school students their activities and tips for academic and career choices, giving them guidelines on learning from university, how to adapt to academic life and the first job.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE

Output 1.1.
An On-line interactive platform on  vocational and career counselling

The online platform the platform can be accessed from the following link http://stepstosuccess.projects.uvt.ro/elearning and will provide continuous access to updated information so that young people in Romania and Serbia can choose wisely regarding academic education and career path.

The platform is an instrument that facilitates a good communication with  the career counsellors, confidentiality, easy and friendly access to updated information for the target group.

Output 1.2
A Counselling guide

The counselling guide offers a current approach upon the career decision-making and job-seeking skills that the career counsellors have to develop at young people in the activities of vocational counselling and career path development. This output is related to following project output indicator: PA1.OI2 – Cross border cooperation structures supported in the field  of labour market

Output 2.1.
40 trained teachers as career counselors – 20 Romanians and 20 Serbian

The teachers from Romania and Serbia will be trained as career counselors to deliver counseling activities and develop those decision-making and job-seeking skills that will help young people to make further steps in defining possible options regarding their academic education and career path and to make informed decisions. The high school teachers that will deliver the vocational counseling and career path development program. They  will also act  as valuable sources of information for other teachers. This output is related to following project output indicator: PA1.OI2 – Cross border cooperation structures supported in the field  of labor market

Output 3.1.
400  young people trained by the career counselors – 200  Romanians and 200  Serbian Young  people from selected schools in Romania and Serbia will benefit from counseling activities about academic, employment and entrepreneurship opportunities uploaded on  the platform. They  will also acquire skills through those counseling activities that will increase their chances to make better decisions regarding their career. This output is related to following project output indicator: PA1.OI5 Joint actions targeting vulnerable groups (youth, women, disabled, ethnic minorities) established for the prevention of early school leaving, for cultural inclusion.
